It was established in 1994, responding to the policy of the university that is built on Islamic creed and the concepts of faith, knowledge and deed. The faculty of Shari'a houses two departments: - Department of Foundations of Religion

The faculty was established in 1994. It grew and thrived until it became one of the biggest faculties of the university in terms of number of students, professors and academic fields.

The Faculty of Media was established at Zarqa University in the second semester 2010-2011, as an extension of the Department of Journalism and Media that was established at the beginning of the academic year 2010-2011

he college of Dentistry at the University of Zarqa, was established in 2022 as the first dental college in Jordanian private universities, as a response to an urgent need for the Jordanian society to fulfill the desire of thousands of Jordanian students who were going to study dentistry in foreign countries

The faculty was firstly established as the department of Biological sciences in 1995.Then it was evolved to the faculty of Allied medical Sciences in 1997.

The faculty of Pharmacy was established at the beginning of the first semester of the 2010-2011 academic year, to be the third faculty of health sciences in the university after the faculty of Allied Medical Sciences and the faculty of Nursing, and to provide the governorates of Zarqa and Mafraq

Faculty of Science, originated with the beginning of the founding of the university in 1994, was combined with the Faculty of Information Technology,

Faculty of Nursing at Zarqa University was established in 2006. It was launched to meet the demands of community needs for highly qualified nursing personnel.

The Faculty of Information Technology was established at the beginning of the university's establishment in the year 1994 in response to the urgent need of the society for qualified graduates in various technological specialties.

The Faculty of Engineering Technology (FET) at Zarqa University was established to meet the technological requirements in this developing and changing world.

In accordance with the University's long-term strategy , the Deanships for Graduate Studies has been separated from the Scientific Research Deanship at the outset of the academic year 2014/2015.
