Student Moamen Mustafa Shehadeh from
the Faculty of Educational Sciences at Zarqa University won first place and the
gold medal in the 56 kg weight class at the Ninth Loyalty to the Homeland Wushu
Kung Fu Championship, which was held on Saturday, September 6th,
2025, at Al-Hassan Sports City in Irbid Governorate.
The championship was organized under
the auspices of the Jordanian Wushu Kung Fu Federation and witnessed wide
participation from champions representing various Jordanian clubs, centers, and
youth organizations. The competition was held in a strong competitive
atmosphere that reflected the advancement of the sport on the national stage.
The Loyalty to the Homeland
Championship is one of the most prominent national sporting events, aiming to
discover and hone promising talents. It also selects the best players in the
Kingdom to qualify them and represent the Jordanian national team in upcoming
regional and international competitions and tournaments.
Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, Zarqa
University President, expressed his pride in Moamen Shehadeh's achievement,
appreciating his efforts that culminated in this victory. He emphasized the
university's commitment to supporting talented students in various fields.
He also extended his thanks and
appreciation to Dr. Mahmoud Abu Shaira, Chairman of the Board of Directors of
Zarqa Educational and Investment Company, for his continuous support of sports
and youth activities, which contributes to strengthening the university's
presence in local and international forums.
Dr. Mukhled Al-Zoubi, the Dean of
Students’ Affairs, congratulated the winning student on this achievement,
praising his outstanding performance during the competitions. He emphasized
that Zarqa University places great importance on sports and cultural activities
that contribute to refining students' personalities and developing their
skills, in addition to their academic excellence.
