On Tuesday, September 2nd, 2025, the Faculty of Pharmacy at Zarqa University organized the OSCE (Objective Structured Clinical Examination). The exam aims to measure students' clinical skills through a practical and interactive simulation that reflects the reality of the pharmacy profession.
The exam was supervised by a select group of external assessors, including faculty members specializing in clinical pharmacy from public and private universities, as well as experts from public and private hospitals and community pharmacists, ensuring the objectivity and comprehensiveness of the assessment.
The exam included five main stations. The first focused on providing comprehensive pharmaceutical care to patients, the second addressed effective communication skills with healthcare professionals, the third tested students' ability to use reliable medical sources to accurately answer inquiries, the fourth included viewing a video of a patient's case followed by calculating appropriate medication doses, and the fifth station concluded by measuring students' ability to detect medical errors and propose appropriate solutions.
The exam results demonstrated an outstanding level of students' ability to integrate theoretical knowledge and practical skills, reflecting their readiness to address various clinical challenges in the future.
Dr. Ahlam Zaid Al-Kilani, Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, emphasized that organizing this exam represents an advanced step in training students in the clinical skills required to practice the profession with high efficiency. It also reflects the faculty's commitment to graduating qualified pharmacists capable of playing their vital role in improving healthcare. She noted that the students' outstanding performance reflects the faculty's success in combining academic excellence with practical application.
