The Faculty of Pharmacy at Zarqa
University organized an awareness day at the Northern Badia Hospital as part of
the clinical training program for Faculty students, under the supervision of
instructor Alaa Al-Tamimi.
The activity addressed a number of
important health topics, most notably osteoporosis, the safe use of
painkillers, and a guide to dealing with children's fever.
The event targeted hospital visitors
and healthcare staff. The students provided educational guidance on ways to
prevent osteoporosis and the dangers of the indiscriminate use of painkillers,
in addition to providing a practical guide for safely dealing with children's
fevers.
The event was attended by Dr.
Abdullah Shamekh, the hospital director, and Dr. Faiza Al-Shuwaier, the
director of pharmacy, who praised the students' efforts and their active role
in raising awareness among the local community and promoting the rational use
of medications.
Dr. Ahlam Al-Kilani, the Dean of the
Faculty of Pharmacy at Zarqa University, explained that these initiatives are
part of the faculty's efforts to enhance the community role of its students and
link academics with practical application in the healthcare field, contributing
to their efficient preparation for the job market.

of these awareness activities in promoting health culture among community
members, praising the students' interaction and excellent organization of the
