To promote traffic safety concepts and enhance the efficiency of workers in the transportation sector, Zarqa University concluded a traffic safety awareness course, "The Training Course for University Transportation Workers", on Monday, July 21st, 2025. The course was implemented in cooperation with the Public Security Directorate - Jordan Traffic Institute, and was attended by Mr. Ali Naaman, the Director of the University's Traffic Division, and a number of drivers.
The course aimed to develop and enhance the efficiency of drivers working in this vital sector, ensure the application of the highest safety standards in student transportation, and raise awareness of the importance of adhering to traffic rules and regulations by providing participants with the knowledge and skills related to safe driving techniques and accident prevention.
This course, which began on Tuesday and Wednesday, July 15th-16th, 2025, is part of a project to train and qualify land transport workers for one mode of transportation. It also falls within the university's ongoing efforts to promote a culture of safety and spread traffic awareness among its staff.
Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, Zarqa University President, emphasized the university's commitment to providing a safe and stable environment through the qualification and training of its staff. He praised the efforts of the Jordanian Traffic Institute in providing quality training content that keeps pace with developments in road safety.
Al-Ramahi pointed out the importance of these programs in promoting positive driving behavior and reducing accident rates, which positively impacts the university's work environment and the safety of students and staff.
At the conclusion of the course, Prof. Al-Ramahi honored the Public Security Directorate - the Jordanian Traffic Institute with an appreciation shield, in recognition of its outstanding efforts in the success of the course and in enhancing traffic safety concepts among participants.
