student from the Faculty of Media at Zarqa University, received support from
the Royal Film Commission, represented by the Zarqa Film Center, as one of the
best projects participating in a specialized training course on short
filmmaking in Zarqa.
Student Ali Saqr's film, titled
"Pulse," was nominated among 13 projects that applied for production
and filming support. The film discussed social and cultural issues inspired by
the reality of Zarqa, and it excelled in the technical and directorial approach
he acquired during the training.
"We had a comprehensive
experience that began with learning the basics of scriptwriting, directing,
photography, and editing. This enabled us to develop a film project that
reflects the reality of the local community and raises questions that touch on
people's concerns and daily issues", Saqr said.
"With the support of the Film Commission
and the course trainers, we were able to transform the idea into a complete
cinematic project. This experience represented the first step in my
professional career and contributed to honing my practical skills in the field
of filmmaking", he added.
