On Wednesday, May 21st,
2025, Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, the President of Zarqa University, received
the Chargé d'Affaires of the Syrian Embassy in Amman, Dr. Ihsan Al-Ruman.
The meeting was attended by Prof.
Dr. Nidal Aisha, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof. Dr.
Khaled Al-Zaidin, the Dean of Admissions and Registration, and Dr. Mukhled
Al-Zoubi, the Dean of Students’ Affairs.
The meeting addressed ways to
enhance academic and cultural cooperation between Zarqa University and Syrian
educational institutions, contributing to supporting Syrian students studying
at the university and opening new horizons for joint cooperation in scientific
and research fields.
The embassy delegation also toured
the university's facilities, expressing their admiration for the academic and
technical development witnessed by the university and the supportive
educational environment for students of various nationalities.
Prof. Al-Ramahi emphasized Zarqa
University's commitment to strengthening cooperation with embassies and
cultural attachés, noting that the university continuously strives to provide a
distinguished educational environment that caters to the needs of international
students.
He explained that the university
hosts a large number of Syrian students and seeks to provide them with the
necessary support at various academic and administrative levels.
At the conclusion of the visit, Prof.
Al-Ramahi presented an honorary shield to Dr. Ihsan Al-Rumman in appreciation
of his efforts in strengthening cooperation between the university and the
Syrian Embassy.
