A delegation
from Zarqa University concluded its participation in a dialogue workshop held
in the Dead Sea area as part of the "Women's Empowerment" project,
held from Monday, May 5th, to Wednesday, May 7th, 2025.
The workshop
was jointly organized by the Arab Women's Association and the University of
Barcelona, with the participation of several Jordanian universities. The aim
was to enhance the role of women in society and empower them at various
academic and social levels.
Zarqa
University’s delegation included Dr. Abeer Al-Amayreh from the Faculty of Law,
Dr. Lina Maalouf from the Faculty of Education, Dr. Muhammad Fawaz Onayzat from
the Faculty of Media, Mr. Alaa Hassan from the Deanship of Admission and
Registration, and Dr. Ashraf Shaqdan, the project coordinator.
Dr. Ashraf
Shaqdan emphasized that the workshop provided a fruitful dialogue platform for
exchanging experiences between academic and community institutions, noting that
its outcomes will contribute to developing practical visions for policies that
enhance women's participation in the fields of education, management, and
leadership.
He added
that Zarqa University's participation falls within its vision of supporting sustainable
development issues and its commitment to implementing programs that promote
gender justice and equal opportunities.
