Dr. Mohammad Mardini, Director of
the Center for Research in Astronomy and Space Sciences at Zarqa University,
received research support from the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT)
- Abdul Hameed Shoman Foundation/Jordan Seed Fund for 2024.
This fund aims to support innovative
and impactful collaborative research between Jordanian universities and MIT.
Dr. Mardini submitted a research
project entitled "Stellar Archaeology - Searching for 13 Billion-Year-Old
Stars in Archives" Public Data.
This project, along with other
winning projects, aims to receive funding of up to $30,000 to support research
visits and scientific collaboration with MIT facilities.
Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, President
of Zarqa University, expressed his pride in the achievements of the
university's researchers and praised their contributions, which enhance the
university's international standing through their pioneering research
participation.
He emphasized that Dr. Mohammad
Mardini's receipt of this prestigious support from MIT and the Abdul Hameed

Al-Ramahi added that this scientific
