Student Saif Al-Din Al-Ladawi from
the Faculty of Educational Sciences won first place and the gold medal in the
Kingdom's Open Kickboxing Championship, which concluded on Sunday, May 11th,
2025.
(470) male and female players of
various categories and weights participated in the championship, which was
sponsored by the Jordanian Kickboxing Federation. This tournament is considered
one of the most important tournaments, aiming to select the best players in
Jordan to represent the national team in various styles, including full
contact, K-1, and point fight.
Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, Zarqa University
President, praised the players' efforts, emphasizing the university's
commitment to participating in all types of sports tournaments, given their
important and effective role in honing students' talents and skills.
Al-Ramahi commended the students'
efforts and their continued commitment to participating in all competitions and
activities that allow them to demonstrate their abilities and stimulate a
spirit of cooperation, partnership, and free competition with their peers.
He also highlighted the ongoing support
of Dr. Mahmoud Abu Shaira, the Chairman of the Board of Directors of Zarqa
Company for Education and Investment, for creative students in all fields.
Dr. Mukhled Al-Zoubi, Dean of
Students’ Affairs, emphasized that Zarqa University always strives to achieve
leadership and excellence at the academic and student levels by providing a
university environment that stimulates creativity and innovation and supports
various activities that refine students' personalities and develop their
skills.
He expressed his hope that the
university's students would continue to excel by achieving top positions in
various local and international forums and competitions. This contributes to
fostering a spirit of positive competition and fostering a culture of teamwork
and cooperation, reflecting an honorable image of the university and its
mission.
