Dr. Muhammad Al-Qadi, a faculty
member in the Department of Journalism and Digital Media at the Faculty of Media
at Zarqa University, participated in the conference "Scientific
Journalism: between Reality and Leading Change," organized by the Faculty
of Media at Middle East University on Sunday, May 4th, 2025.
During the conference, Dr. Al-Qadi
presented a scientific study titled "The Role of Jordanian Electronic
Journalism in Spreading Health Awareness among Youth" aimed to evaluate
the impact of electronic journalism on health awareness among Jordanian youth,
analyze the extent to which social media platforms contribute to enhancing this
awareness, and identify the most prominent challenges facing electronic
journalism in disseminating accurate and reliable health information.
Dr. Amjad Safouri, The Dean of the
Faculty of Media at Zarqa University, emphasized that the participation of
faculty members in such specialized scientific conferences reflects the faculty's
commitment to encouraging scientific research and openness to current media
issues. He highlighted the importance of research that highlights the
relationship between media and public health, especially among youth.
He pointed out that the
participation of faculty members in various scientific conferences, events, and
seminars comes within the framework of the Faculty's commitment to enhancing
academic presence in scientific forums and encouraging faculty members to
contribute effectively to the development of the media sector locally and
regionally.
