Based on the commitment of the Faculty
of Engineering Technology at Zarqa University to enhancing the practical and
applied aspects of its academic courses, the Department of Architecture
organized a scientific visit to the Jordan National Gallery of Fine Arts in
Jabal Al-Weibdeh, Amman, on Thursday, March 27th, 2025. The visit
was part of the Freehand Drawing and Design Fundamentals courses.
The visit aimed to expose students
to the distinguished art exhibits and paintings that embody the close
relationship between art and architecture, contributing to broadening their
horizons and enriching their design imagination. The visit was supervised by
Dr. Bushra Zalloum, Dr. Noura Qaza, Engineer Aisha Al-Qaisi, Engineer Farah Abu
Hilal, and Engineer Ghadeer Sobh.
Dr. Abdullah Al-Khatib, the Dean of
the Faculty of Engineering Technology, emphasized that this visit falls within
the faculty's vision to enable students to explore the artistic and aesthetic
dimensions of architecture and enhance their understanding of the relationship
between design and the cultural and artistic environment. Dr. Al-Khatib pointed
out that such visits open new horizons for students and help them draw
inspiration from creative ideas, which contributes to developing their skills
and applying them in their future academic and professional projects.
