Under the patronage of His
Excellency Dr. Firas Abu Qaoud, the Governor of Zarqa, and in the presence of His
Excellency Engineer Samir Habashneh, the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of
Zarqa University, and Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, the President of Zarqa
University, the Hashemite Scientific Councils activities in Zarqa Governorate
were inaugurated under the title "Hadiths on Which Islam is Based
According to the Great Hadith Scholar Imam Abu Dawud, may Allah have mercy on
him."
The opening ceremony was attended by
Prof. Dr. Nidal Aisha, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, Prof.
Alaa Addin Sadeq, the Vice President for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Anas
Al-Khalayleh, the Dean of the Faculty of Sharia, Prof. Khaled Al-Zaidin, the
Dean of Students’ Affairs, Dr. Ahmed Salama Al-Harahsheh, the Director of
Endowments of Zarqa Governorate, and Dr. Raed Al-Shawabkeh, the Assistant
Director of Endowments of Zarqa Governorate, along with Faculty deans, faculty
members, and university students.
The Hashemite Scientific Councils
activities will be held in Zarqa Governorate every Sunday during the holy month
of Ramadan. The Hashemite Scientific Councils are held annually during the holy
month of Ramadan under the patronage of His Majesty the King. They bring
together a select group of scholars, preachers, and thinkers from across the
Islamic world to discuss the issues and concerns of the Islamic nation and
propose solutions derived from the Qur'an and Sunnah, based on a scientific
methodology characterized by wisdom and moderation.
The councils aim to highlight the
role of scholars in guiding the nation, clarifying Islamic rulings on various
issues, emphasizing the moderation of the message of Islam and advocating for
it with wisdom and good preaching. They also shed light on contemporary
developments and offer balanced Islamic perspectives to address them.
The opening of the scientific
councils included a dialogue session titled "Actions Are Judgmental by
Intentions," in which Prof. Al-Khalayleh, Dr. Al-Harahsheh, and Dr. Al-Shawabkeh
spoke.
Prof. Al-Ramahi emphasized that the
university's hosting of these scientific councils falls within the framework of
its commitment to spreading knowledge. He noted that this event constitutes
an important intellectual platform for discussing Islamic issues in a spirit
that combines authenticity and modernity.
He praised the role of the
participating scholars in enriching the dialogues and presenting visions that
contribute to highlighting the message of Islam, which is based on moderation,
tolerance, and openness to others. He emphasized that the university will
continue to support all activities that promote enlightened thought and spread
awareness among young people.
For his part, Prof. Al-Khalayleh
explained that the Hashemite Scientific Councils are a scholarly platform that
brings together leading scholars and researchers to discuss topics related to
Islamic thought, interpretation, the Prophet's biography, and other issues that
affect the nation's reality.
He added that these councils
contribute to highlighting the true image of Islam, which is based on
knowledge, diligence, and action. They also help educate the younger
generations about the values of moderation and balance, thus enhancing the
role of scholars in building societies based on sound understanding and
tolerance. At the conclusion of the opening session, attendees praised Zarqa
University's efforts in hosting this prestigious academic event, which reflects
its commitment to contributing to the dissemination of enlightened thought and
promoting the values of moderation and tolerance in society.
