Zarqa University celebrated a
remarkable achievement in early 2025 as student Hanuya Adam Hassaballah from
the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences won the gold medal in the Diriyah
Trail Race in Saudi Arabia.
Held on Friday, January 24, 2025,
the event was organized by the Royal Commission for Al-Ula and featured over
1,450 participants from around the world. Hanuya covered a distance of 23
kilometers to secure first place, bringing pride to Zarqa University.
Prof. Nidal Al-Ramahi, President of
Zarqa University, praised the accomplishment, emphasizing the university’s
commitment to supporting students' talents and fostering their success in
diverse fields.
The Dean of Student Affairs, Prof.
Majed Masaadah, commented: "Today, we celebrate this outstanding
achievement by the student Hanuya Adam, which places Zarqa University among the
leading universities in sports activities."
He emphasized that the university’s
first-place win and the gold medal in the Diriyah Trail Race is not just an
individual accomplishment but a testament to the university's ongoing efforts
to support students and encourage them to engage in sports.
Prof. Masaadah reaffirmed the
university's commitment to the directives of the Chairman of the Zarqa Company
for Education and Investment, Dr. Mahmoud Abu Shaera, to continue offering
programs that prepare students to compete in various local and regional
championships.
