Zarqa University received, on
Tuesday, January 14th, 2025, Mr. Marwan Abu Ghosh, the Administrative
Director of the Jordanian Federation for Electronic Sports.
The meeting was attended by Dr.
Hussam Al-Mahasneh, the Director of the Center for Creativity and Entrepreneurship
at Zarqa University, Prof. Dr. Majed Masa'adah, the Dean of Students’ Affairs,
and Dr. Qatada Al-Jawazneh, the Liaison Officer of the Center for Creativity at
the Faculty of Information Technology.
The visit aims to enhance
cooperation between the two sides in supporting the electronic games and
electronic sports sector, supporting emerging industries for electronic games,
and creating a stimulating environment for innovation and creativity.
Future prospects for cooperation
were discussed, including organizing joint training programs, and holding
events aimed at developing the skills of young people in the fields of modern
technology and electronic sports, which contributes to the development of this
promising sector and enhances its role in supporting the national economy.
Prof. Masaada explained the
importance of providing a safe entertainment environment for students by
supporting the electronic games and electronic sports sector, as the Deanship
of Students’ Affairs holds an electronic football games championship and
stressed the Deanship of Students’ Affairs' continuation in holding events
targeting students' skills.
For his part, Dr. Hussam Mahasneh stressed
the university's commitment to developing strategic partnerships with national
institutions, pointing out the importance of enhancing the role of universities
in supporting the digital economy and enabling Jordanian youth to compete in
local and regional markets.
Mr. Marwan Abu Ghosh praised the
efforts made by Zarqa University to support emerging industries and create a
stimulating environment for innovation and creativity, especially in the field
of electronic games, which are witnessing rapid growth globally and locally.
