On Thursday, November, 14^th, 2024, Zarqa University, in cooperation with the Deanship of Students’ Affairs, organized a cross-country race for university students, on the occasion of the birth anniversary of the late King Hussein bin Talal, may Allah bless his soul.

Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, the President of Zarqa University, in the presence of Prof. Dr. Alaa Eddin Sadeq, the Vice President of Zarqa University for Academic Affairs, Prof. Dr. Majed Musaada, the Dean of Students’ Affairs, and a number of deans of faculties and students, launched the start signal for the race, where the competitors, numbering (200) male and female students, covered a distance of (4 km) for male students and (2 km) for female students.

Al-Ramahi stressed that this event comes as an embodiment of the memory of the late King Hussein bin Talal, the builder of the modern Jordanian renaissance, with a penetrating vision and well-known wisdom, which made Jordan the focus of admiration, respect and appreciation at the regional and international levels.

Al-Ramahi said that Zarqa University is committed to the pledge of allegiance to the heir to the Hashemite throne, His Majesty King Abdullah II, to continue the path of righteousness and construction, with confidence and high spirits, to raise the nation's name, enhance its status, and preserve its achievements.

Dean of Students’ Affairs, Prof. Dr. Majed Masa'adah, confirmed that the deanship continues its activities that benefit the university's students, stressing that building the nation, enhancing its status, and preserving its achievements comes through the youth on whom His Majesty King Abdullah II relied.

At the end of the race, Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi handed over the cups and medals to the winners of the race.
