The Faculty
of Pharmacy at Zarqa University participated, on Sunday November 3rd,
2024, in the activities of the First National Conference on Drug Security,
which was held under the title "Enhancing Drug Security to Ensure Health
Sustainability".
Dr. Hamza
Al-Hamad and Dr. Jihad Nasser Al-Din participated as Keynote speakers in the
conference, where Al-Hamad gave a lecture entitled "Rethinking Medicine:
Strategies for Sustainable Use and Reuse", while Nasser Al-Din gave a
lecture entitled "Pharmaceutical Applications of Artificial Intelligence
and Machine Learning", while Dr. Muhammad Abu Asab moderated a dialogue
session on "Universal Health Coverage". The conference is held in
implementation of the royal visions for economic modernization in developing
policies and practices aimed at ensuring the provision of effective and safe
medicines within reliable supply chains, and enhancing the system of medical
security in Jordan, and in implementation of the humanitarian mission of the
Charitable Medicine Bank.
Dr. Ahlam
Al-Kilani, the Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy, said that the Faculty's
participation in the first national conference on drug security enhances the
scientific aspect and develops academic and research expertise in the field of
pharmacy.
She added
that this participation provides an opportunity to discuss the latest
innovations and research related to drug security and health sustainability
strategies, which contributes to enriching scientific knowledge among students
and faculty members, and enhances the role of the faculty as a scientific
institution seeking to achieve academic excellence and meet the needs of the
Jordanian health sector.
