Japanese researcher, Professor
Koichi Onami, visited Zarqa University on Thursday, September 19, 2024, as part
of a joint research project between the university and a Japanese research institution.
The meeting was attended by the Dean of the Faculty of Science, Dr. Ibrahim
Ghubar, along with several faculty members from the college. The visit aims to
strengthen collaborative research efforts and collect soil samples from Zarqa
University for analysis and study as part of a project addressing water-related
challenges in arid regions, including Jordan and Iraq.
Zarqa University President, Professor Nidal Al Ramahi, highlighted
the university's active and positive role in conducting field studies and
research across various disciplines. He also emphasized the important and
impactful role of the university's faculty members in networking with
researchers from leading global universities, contributing to enhancing Zarqa
University's standing on both Arab and international levels.
