Within the
framework of completing the activities of the Faculty of Nursing at Zarqa
University to serve the local community, the Faculty held a workshop entitled
“First Aid for Summer Injuries” in cooperation with the “We Participate” Center
for Local Community Development in the city of Zarqa.
Community
health nursing students participated in the workshop. The workshop included a
discussion of how to provide first aid for recurrent injuries in general and in
the summer in particular, such as sunstroke, drowning, nosebleeds, fractures,
and burns.
The workshop
included practical training on applying first aid correctly, with an emphasis
on the importance of these procedures in preserving the life of the injured
person and preventing complications.
The workshop
was attended by employees of the “We Share” Center and invitees from the local
community.
Dr. Ahmed
Rayan, The Dean of the Faculty, stressed the Faculty’s continued support for
student activities aimed at spreading awareness and preserving the health of
the local community.
