On Tuesday, December 5, 2023, the Faculty of Science at Zarqa University, in collaboration with the Deanship of Student Affairs, organized a workshop on the occasion of World Science Day. The workshop aimed to increase awareness of the importance of science and its impact on our daily lives, as well as promote scientific and technological innovation.

The workshop, supervised by Dr. Ibrahim Ghabar, Dr. Ibrahim Saleh, and Assistant Professor Duaa Al-Khaleeli from the Faculty of Science, covered topics in physics, astronomy, and mathematics, showcasing prominent scientists in these fields. It also included a theatrical presentation and a debate between physics and mathematics students.

Dr. Aliaa Barqan, the Dean of the Faculty of Science, highlighted the Faculty’s interest in student participation in various activities, expressing gratitude to the university administration for hosting such events.

She pointed out that mathematics and physics are closely related, as physics studies natural properties and phenomena and different laws, while mathematics is the tool used to interpret these phenomena through the necessary equations to achieve the desired results.
