Zarqa University won four out of five awards in the "promising Translator" competition held at the Applied Science University on Saturday, 11/3/2023.
The first place winner was Abdul-Salam Khalil, the second place winner was Abdul-Salam Mamoun Al-Imam, the third place winner was Rahma Malik Al-Maasfah, and the fifth place winner was Maryam Rizkallah Jawdat, as part of a team of seven students from Zarqa University's Faculty of Arts Department of English Language and Translation.
Professor Aladdin Sadiq, Vice President for Academic Affairs, Dean of the Faculty of Arts, said that the university is keen on students participating in various activities, interacting with the community, and cooperating with all official bodies in order to assist with the educational process throughout the Kingdom. In addition, he added that such activities are always supported by the Chairman of the Board of Directors of the Zarqa Educational and Investment Company, His Excellency Dr Mahmoud Abu Shaira, and the university's presidency.
According to him, this achievement was a result of students receiving professional training and attention from faculty staff who are qualified in education.
The students who competed expressed their joy at winning multiple positions in the competition, expressing their gratitude for the opportunity to participate in such distinguished competitions, programs, and activities at Zarqa University and to their professors in the Faculty of Arts and English Language and Translation.
