Zarqa
University has advanced for the second year in a row in the ranking of the best
Arab universities according to the QS Arab University Ranking for the year
2022.
The
university came among the best 131 universities at the Arab level out of more
than 1,300 Arab universities, achieving high evaluation rates in the criteria
of the percentage of faculty members holding doctorate degrees, and the
percentage of non-Jordanian students, and it advanced to the intermediate level
in scientific research.
At
the local level, the university advanced three places from last year's ranking.
The
Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Al-Qawasmi, received the classification
certificate during the QS Summit for Arab Universities 2022, which was held in
Dubai on 10-12-15 / 2021.
The
president of the university, Prof. Nidal Al-Ramahi, said that the remarkable
progress of the university in the international rankings comes as a result of
diligent work and an educational system based on excellence and creativity in
accordance with national and international standards and classifications, and a
successful strategic plan implemented by the university for years.
He
explained that the university's interest in obtaining local and international
certificates for accreditation and quality stems from the university's
responsibility to improve its outputs and reach global competitiveness in a
manner befitting Jordan's academic reputation.
He
pointed out that sober international ratings such as the QS rating are an
important indicator of performance and contribute to the analysis of strengths
and weaknesses in order to work on continuous development.
The
Dean of Scientific Research, Dr. Khaled Al-Qawasmi, stressed that the
university has sought for years to achieve excellence in the scientific field
by focusing on the quality of scientific research, publishing in the best and
most prestigious international journals, and offering incentive awards to
faculty members, leading to international rankings and upgrading the rankings
among universities.
He
expressed his thanks to the management of the Zarqa Company for Education and
Investment, represented by the President of the Council, Dr. Mahmoud Abu
Shaira, and the presidency of the university for their support of the Deanship
of Scientific Research to achieve its mission, and the faculty members at the
university to achieve excellence in the field of scientific research.
