Dr. Raniero
Chile, Project Manager at the Italian UNIMED Foundation, visited Zarqa
University to be acquainted with the activity of the Student Support Unit
(R-SOS Unit) established at the University to provide services that support the
academic development of students with the support of the European Union Erasmus
Project ).
Chile met
with the Director of the External Projects Unit, Dr. Ashraf Shaqdan, and the
staff of the project.He was briefed on the various services provided by the
Unit.The Unit also provides assistance to students in filling out grants
applications and provides information on the deadlines.The unit provides
information on free online learning resources for those interested.
Since its
inauguration on 27/2/2019, the unit has held 18 workshops and lectures held by
a number of faculty members on a voluntary basis.The number of students
enrolled in the unit is 250 students.It also offers students ways to
communicate through the Facebook page and communication groups such as announcements about opportunities, grants and
courses..
Raniero
expressed his satisfaction with the progress of work and appreciation of the
great support provided by the university administration to the work of the unit
and the activity of Erasmus projects for international cooperation. He also
expressed his desire to continue working with the Zarqa University in future projects.
