A delegation
from the European Union-funded project, Erasmus Plus, visited Zarqa University
Tuesday to follow up the implementation of the project, which aims to establish
an office for serving refugee students at Zarqa University.
Dr. Bassam
Al-Helou, President of Zarqa University, said: "The University's
continuous support for various scientific projects reflects positively on the
progress of the educational process in the university and improving the
conditions of refugee students to complete their university education."
The
delegation, which included the Deputy Director of the Union of Mediterranean
Universities, Dr. Raniero Chilwa, the Assistant of the Euro-Mediterranean
University Marco De Donato, Director of the Erasmus National Office in
Jordan, Dr. Ahmed Abu Al-Haija, and a delegation from the Jordanian
universities participating in the project: Yarmouk University, Dr. Ashraf
Shakdan, and Dr. Ashraf Kanaan from Zarqa University, said that the workshop
aims at supporting refugee students who wish to complete their university
education in addition to holding training programs.
