Organized by the Jordanian Scouts and Guides Association and in cooperation with the Jordan Trail Association, a select group of Zarqa University students participated in the training program for Rovers on Tourist Trails. The program was held at the Princess Basma Permanent Scout Camp in Dibbin from September 14th to 16th, 2025.
This program aims to enhance the patriotic spirit among participants by familiarizing them with national tourist trails and preserving national and environmental resources during the hike.
The training program included several topics, most notably: flag-raising ceremonies, first aid, navigation, hiking etiquette, "Leave a Trace" principles, camping etiquette, campsite preparation, communication skills, rope skills, wilderness skills, and stove and fire training.
Zarqa University has received special attention in this program, thanks to its continuous and distinguished participation since its inception. Its students have demonstrated remarkable excellence, enabling them to undertake the training experience with high efficiency, improving their skills in learning based on challenge and adventure in diverse environments.
Dr. Mukhled Al-Zoubi, the Dean of Students’ Affairs at Zarqa University, emphasized that student participation in such training programs reflects the university's commitment to developing their leadership skills and strengthening their national affiliation. He noted that the university places great importance on extracurricular activities that contribute to refining students' personalities and preparing them to face life's challenges with a positive and effective spirit.
