Dr. Hana Abu Sawan, Assistant Prof. of Pharmaceutical Microbiology and Vice Dean of the Faculty of Pharmacy at Zarqa University, concluded an academic visit to the University of Manchester in the United Kingdom, from July 1st to August 30th, 2025.

The visit aimed to enhance research collaboration and acquire new scientific skills. Abu Sawan joined the research team of Prof. Andrew McBain at the University of Manchester's School of Pharmacy and Optometry, and participated in several projects related to the microbiome and the exploration of bacteriophages as an alternative to antibiotics.

Dr. Abu Sawan thanked Zarqa University for supporting this visit and the University of Manchester for hosting her and providing excellent cooperation.
