Zarqa University signed a memorandum
of understanding with Malaysian University of Technology (UiTM) on Tuesday,
August 26th, 2025, with the aim of enhancing research cooperation,
exchanging expertise, and networking scientific projects between researchers at
both universities.
The agreement was signed on behalf of
Zarqa University by Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, its President, in the presence
of Prof. Dr. Nidal Aisha, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, a
number of faculty deans, and Prof. Dr. Mohammed Hassan, the Dean of Zarqa Faculty
of Information Technology.
The signing on behalf of UiTM was
attended by its President, with the participation of the Vice President for
Scientific Research and Development, the Director of Scientific Research, and a
number of UiTM faculty members.
The signing ceremony included a
specialized workshop titled "Creativity and Innovation through the
Employment and Application of Scientific Research Outcomes", held in the
university's conference hall. During the workshop, the President of UiTM
University delivered a presentation on the future of scientific research and
its application in innovation. Prof. Dr. Hassan also gave a presentation on the
Faculty's developments. A group of researchers from Zarqa University reviewed
their most prominent joint research projects with their counterparts from the
Malaysian university.
At the conclusion of the visit, the
UiTM delegation toured Zarqa University's facilities, where they expressed
their admiration for the developments taking place at the university,
particularly in the Faculty of Dentistry, the Pharmaceutical Research Center,
and the Energy Research Center.
The UiTM President also praised
Zarqa University's pioneering role in developing scientific research and
fostering an environment of creativity and innovation, as well as its ongoing
efforts to strengthen collaboration with its international partners.
