On Thursday, April 24th,
2025, the Faculty of Nursing at Zarqa University participated in the
International Conference on Simulation in Medical Education (ICSME 2025). The
conference was organized by the Faculty of Medicine at Yarmouk University, with
the participation of a select group of experts and academics from local and
international universities and educational and healthcare institutions.
The Faculty of Nursing was
represented at the conference by Dr. Ahmed Rayyan, the Dean of the Faculty; Dr.
Anas Khalifa, his deputy; and Dr. Mohammed Al-Usta, Assistant Dean for Quality
Affairs.
The conference opened with a session
addressing the future of simulation in medical education, followed by a number
of lectures presented by international experts from Australia, Switzerland, and
Germany. These lectures focused on artificial intelligence, new educational
approaches in simulation, and curriculum design tools. They also reviewed the
experiences of international universities in implementing simulation
technologies in education.
The conference also featured an
exhibition showcasing simulation products and technologies from various
specialized international companies.
Dr. Rayyan emphasized the importance
of this participation in strengthening academic cooperation and learning from
global experiences in using simulation to develop nursing education. He noted
that the faculty continuously strives to keep pace with the latest educational
trends, which contributes to improving the quality of education and its
outcomes.
