As part of its ongoing efforts to
implement its vision of promoting the values of integrity and transparency,
Zarqa University organized a lecture on Tuesday, April 22nd, 2025,
entitled "Combating Corruption and National Integrity Standards." The
lecture aimed to spread the culture of integrity and raise awareness of the
risks of corruption and the mechanisms for combating it among university
students.
The lecture was delivered by
investigators at the Integrity and Anti-Corruption Commission, Mr. Samer
Al-Dasit and Mr. Abdul Rahman Mahidat, in the presence of Prof. Alaa Dr. Addin
Sadeq, the university's Vice President for Academic Affairs.
The event was attended by Prof. Dr. Tariq
Mubaideen, the Dean of the Faculty of Economics and Administrative Sciences,
and Dr. Omar Al-Makhzoumi, the Dean of the Faculty of Law, along with a number
of faculty members and students from the Faculties of Media, Law, and Economics
and Administrative Sciences.
Prof. Sadiq emphasized that
organizing this lecture stems from the University's deep belief in its role in
instilling the concepts of integrity and transparency among its students, as
they are the cornerstone of building an informed society immune to the scourge
of corruption.
He pointed out that the
"Integrity Ambassadors Program" represents a real opportunity to
engage youth in anti-corruption efforts through education and practical
training, emphasizing the University's constant commitment to serving as a
platform for purposeful dialogue and a source for disseminating positive
national values.
Sadiq valued the attendance of this
group of academics and students, considering them evidence of the great
awareness of the importance of this issue and the need to activate it within
the university campus and in society as a whole.
At the conclusion of the lecture, Prof.
Sadiq honored Mr. Samer Al-Dasit and Mr. Abdulrahman Muhidat, by presenting
them with commemorative shields in recognition of their efforts and active
participation in enriching the symposium's themes.
