Under the patronage of His
Excellency Prof. Dr. Amr Ezzat, President of the Association of Arab
Universities, the "Certified Resident" Program for Health Faculties
was inaugurated on Saturday, April 5th, 2025, with the participation
of Zarqa University. The event took place on the campus of Ain Shams University
in the Arab Republic of Egypt. This program, organized by the Scientific
Society for Measurement and Evaluation of the Association of Arab Universities,
will run for two months, with (46) training hours distributed over two days per
week. It targets health and medical faculties, including the faculties of
dentistry, pharmacy, nursing, and medical laboratories.
The opening ceremony, held via
videoconference, was attended by Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi, President of Zarqa
University; Prof. Dr. Nidal Aisha, Vice President for Administrative Affairs;
and Prof. Reda Al-Mawadhi, Head of the Faculty Performance Development Unit at
the university; along with a number of Faculty deans and faculty members. The
program aims to develop the skills of faculty members at Arab universities,
particularly in medical specialties, in the areas of measurement and evaluation
in medical education.
Prof. Dr. Al-Ramahi emphasized that
the university's participation in this program comes within the framework of
its ongoing efforts to enhance the quality of medical education in the Arab
world. He emphasized the university's commitment to supporting and developing
medical education and enabling academic staff to adopt the latest assessment
and measurement methods, which positively impacts the efficiency of medical
graduates and their ability to meet the demands of the labor market. For his
part, Prof. Aisha highlighted the importance of developing the capabilities of
faculty members, particularly in medical faculties, emphasizing that the
program contributes to enhancing academic competencies and unifying standards
among Arab universities. This improves the quality of medical education across the Arab
world.
Prof. Al-Mawadhiya explained that
the program is a strategic step within the plan to develop the performance of
the academic staff.
He added that organizing this
program in cooperation with the Society for Measurement and Evaluation reflects
the University's commitment to providing a modern educational environment that
keeps pace with the latest developments in the scientific and medical fields.
It also represents an effective contribution to raising the quality of academic
performance and improving the educational process, benefiting students and
serving the community as a whole.
