Under the patronage of Prof. Nidal
Aisha, the Vice President for Administrative Affairs, the Faculty of Nursing at
Zarqa University held its first Advisory Committee meeting on Tuesday, March 25th,
2025, via Microsoft Teams.
The meeting was attended by a selected
group of academics and nursing specialists, employers, and representatives of
local community institutions, non-profit health agencies, and organizations.
The meeting aims to discuss the
Faculty of Nursing's strategic plan, ways to develop practical and academic
training programs, and strengthen partnerships with healthcare institutions. It
also aims to review current challenges and opportunities to improve the quality
of education and training at the Faculty.
Prof. Aisha emphasized the
importance of these meetings in exchanging ideas and experiences between
academics and practitioners, contributing to the development of educational
outcomes and achieving the university's vision of academic excellence.
He also explained that this meeting
is part of Zarqa University's efforts to enhance communication and cooperation
with various healthcare sectors, contributing to improving the educational and
training environment for its students and preparing qualified nursing cadres to
meet the needs of the labor market.
For his part, Dr. Ahmed Rayyan, Dean
of the Faculty of Nursing, explained that this meeting represents an important
step towards building strategic partnerships with various healthcare and
academic entities to ensure that students are qualified according to the
highest academic and professional standards, which will positively impact the
quality of healthcare provided in the community.
