A number of
students from the Faculty of Media at Zarqa University participated in a
specialized training workshop on managing television news, organized by the
Naya Community Network, which lasted for three days, with the aim of developing
their journalistic skills and enhancing their capabilities in preparing and
presenting television news content.
The media
training was supervised by Raed Yassin, Al-Mamlaka Channel's media personality,
as the workshop included practical training on editing news and drafting the
news bulletin, in addition to a realistic simulation of the television news
production process.
The workshop
addressed the concept of the television news bulletin, the differences between
radio and written news, the mechanisms for editing news and writing
introductions to television reports, in addition to the standards for the
visual appearance of news and reports to ensure their integration, and the
introduction to the television control room and its human and technical
components.
For his part, Dr.
Amjad Safouri, the Dean of the Faculty of Media at Zarqa University, stressed
the Faculty’s keenness to provide its students with qualitative training
opportunities that enhance their practical skills, noting that cooperation with
media institutions reflects the university's commitment to preparing a
qualified generation to keep pace with developments in the media field.
He added that
this workshop comes within a series of training programs in which faculty
students participate, with the aim of enabling them to gain practical
experience that qualifies them to enter the labor market efficiently, stressing
the importance of continuing these initiatives to develop the skills of young
journalists and media professionals.
The students
praised the importance of the workshop in enhancing their practical skills,
expressing their aspiration for more training programs that keep pace with
developments in the field of digital and television media.
