Khaled
Al-Qubailat, a student from Zarqa University studying a master's degree in
digital media, won the audio-visual media award for the news story, news
report, or radio and television dialogue organized by the Jordanian Press
Association.
Al-Qabilat, who
is employed by Jordan TV, received recognition for a TV report he made and
aired on Jordanian TV last year. The report was about the negative impact on
investments in the Azraq District and the closure of the Azraq Salt Factory, an
important natural resource.
Dr. Amjad
Saffuri, the Dean of the Media Faculty, said that the digital media master's
program at our Faculty has attracted top journalists and media professionals
from Jordan. These individuals have exceptional skills in their profession and
in using technology.
He said that
the study plan for the master's program matches what the job market needs. It
teaches students about writing for digital media, creating and designing
digital projects, and talking about current digital issues that affect the
local, regional, and global areas with the students.
He said that
the faculty has everything needed for their programs to be successful at the
bachelor's and master's levels. This includes classrooms that have all the
technology needed for digital media, and studios where students can learn
digital media arts. They also have teachers who know a lot about new digital
media applications.
