AMIDEAST Accredits Zarqa University to hold the international TOEFL Exam

On Monday, June 12, 2023, Zarqa University and AMIDEAST, the education and training services institution, signed a memorandum of understanding (MoU) to make Zarqa University the venue for holding the International TOEFL iBT exam and to provide and implement specialized English language programs.

The agreement was signed on behalf of Zarqa University by its President, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ramhi, and on behalf of AMIDEAST by the Qatari Director, Ms. Noor Al-Rasheed, in the presence of Dr. Mahmoud Odeh, Director of Development and Quality Assurance Unit at the University, and Ms. Fernand Vakhoury, the Testing Manager at AMIDEAST.

The memorandum of understanding included cooperation in the areas of managing the International TOEFL iBT exam, preparing for the TOEFL International English language test, as well as services or tests administered by AMIDEAST.

The aim of the memorandum is to make Zarqa University the site for the International TOEFL iBT exam, to harmonize the evaluation of the internationally recognized language, and to implement upcoming projects to improve the English language proficiency of the university's students, graduates, and the local community.

The President of the university, Professor Dr. Nidal Al-Ramhi, stated that signing the agreement represents an important development in cooperation with AMIDEAST for education and training services institution, given its significance to the students. There will be a great opportunity to enhance the practical aspect of the English language to prepare qualified students who are capable of entering the job market with high language proficiency.

Ms. Noor Al-Rasheed praised Zarqa University on behalf of the accompanying delegation for their cooperation in fostering partnerships and offering the finest services to college students, members of the local community, and those planning to register in postgraduate programmes. During a field trip, they expressed their admiration for the university's accomplishments and its facilities, particularly those in the academic and research fields.
