Department Head
The Islamic Banking Department was established in 2010 in light of the increasing demand for Islamic banking, and due to its high efficiency in investment and financing operations, and the department aims to create a field for transactions according to the jurisprudence of Islamic transactions in banking activities, in addition to a practical application of the foundations of the Islamic economy and the implementation of the desire of Islamic societies in dealing away from usury.
The department offers the bachelor and master programs, as the programs' plans include Islamic financial developments in accordance with the legal Islamic Shariah controls to produce a generation that has sufficient knowledge of Islamic financial and banking matters and is able to deal with contemporary financial and banking problems and is familiar with Sharia controls, taking into account flexibility in solving problems.
The department includes a group of distinguished faculty members who hold a PhD in the field of Islamic banking.
