The department of math was established in 1994 due to the importance of math in human's life. Math is considered one of the basic sciences, on which most other sciences depend directly or indirectly. The faculty has formulated an all-inclusive syllabus to achieve the message calling on preparing highly qualified specialists in Math and training them to be decent, honest and dedicated to their careers in the future.

Moreover, the department is keen on updating and checking the syllabus and its courses regularly to keep up with the continuous development of science with all its fields. It also seeks to provide all the needed requirements from advanced books to highly qualified staff members in all basic branches of math.
