Zarqa University Celebrates Jordanian Flag Day Amidst a National Atmosphere of Pride and Belonging

Zarqa University celebrated Jordanian Flag Day on Wednesday, April 16th, 2025, by organizing distinctive national events in the university's main square, reflecting feelings of pride and belonging to the nation. The event was attended by a large number of officials, academics, and students.

Participants in the celebration were Prof. Dr. Nidal Al-Ramahi the University President of Zarqa University; Prof. Dr. Alaa Eddin Sadeq Vice President for Academic Affairs; Prof. Dr. Nidal Aisha Vice President for Administrative Affairs; and Prof. Dr. Ghaida Abu Rumman the Dean of Zarqa Intermediate Technical College, deans of faculties, and many students.

The event also featured artistic and cultural performances that expressed the symbolism of the Jordanian flag and its roots in national heritage. Most notable among these were the formation of the flag using flowers, and participants signed an artistic painting embodying the significance of this day. The event was marked by interaction, enthusiasm, and a sense of pride in Jordanian identity.

In his speech, Prof. Al-Ramahi emphasized that Zarqa University's celebration of Jordanian Flag Day embodies the spirit of loyalty and belonging deeply rooted in the souls of its students and affiliates, and expresses a sincere love for the homeland and its wise Hashemite leadership.

"The Jordanian flag is not just a banner; it is a symbol of pride, sovereignty, and dignity. Its history bears witness to the glorious journey of sacrifices and construction achieved by Jordanians under their wise leadership over the decades", said Al-Ramahi.

He added that the university is keen to instill national values ​​in students through extracurricular programs and diverse activities, which enhance their sense of belonging and pride in their Jordanian identity.

He concluded by saying, "We believe that instilling these values ​​begins in the classroom and flourishes in such events that ignite the flame of belonging within our souls and connect our children to their roots and our rich national history."

On this cherished national occasion, the Zarqa University family affirms its deep pride in the nation's flag, and renews its pledge of loyalty and belonging to Jordan and its wise Hashemite leadership, drawing inspiration from the flag for the meanings of pride and dignity, and continuing its educational and national mission to instill these deep-rooted values ​​in the souls of future generations.
