First of all, I praise Allah and pray peace be upon Prophet Mohammed, The Faculty of Arts at Zarqa University is one of the pillars of the University whose inception accompanied the university's inception step by step, moment by moment, keeping pace with the development and distinction that the university has witnessed since then. The faculty seeks in its march to distinguish among its colleagues, faculties of arts in Jordanian universities, and works to develop education and ensure quality, and achieved a high status in this direction when students of the Department of Arabic Language and Literature ranked first among public and private universities in the proficiency exam held by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research in the first semester of the academic year 2006/2007, and ranked first among private universities in the second semester of the same year. Not to mention that it recently obtained a Certificate of Quality of Academic Programs granted by the Accreditation Authority for Education Institutions, which had a great impact on the graduation of successive cohorts that provided the country with trained cadres who drew from the literary knowledge that a scientific edifice made available to them with all modern educational tools. This knowledge they took from the hands of a group of professors carefully chosen by the university's administration of all stripes to carry out their mission, and made clear the vision and mission to them, so the vision was based on excellence and creativity in education and scientific research in the disciplines of the Faculty of Arts.

The Faculty of Arts at Zarqa University is a founding member of the 'Association of Faculties of Arts in the Arab World', which is affiliated with the Association of Arab Universities.

The Faculty includes three departments:
Department of Arabic Language and Literature, Department of English Language, Literature and Translation, Department of University Requirements.
