The Faculty of Media at Zarqa
University participated in the "Leaders in the Media and Official
Spokespersons" course, organized by the Military Media Training Institute.
The three-day course included
lectures on communication and audience interaction skills, icebreaking skills,
and public speaking, in addition to body language.
Dr. Othman Al-Tahat, a faculty
member at the Faculty of Media, presented a set of effective strategies that
can help speakers enhance their capabilities and break the ice when speaking in
front of an audience.
Dr. Al-Tahat explained the great
importance of the elements of effective communication, stressing the need to
achieve a balance between content and the efficiency of the tools.
He pointed out that a speaker's
positive impact requires a deep understanding of the target audience. It is
essential for the speaker to be aware of the audience's composition, interests,
and expectations.
Dr. Amjad Safouri, the Dean of the Faculty,
emphasized that the Faculty, under the direction of the University President,
is working to strengthen its partnerships with all national institutions with
the aim of equipping its staff with media skills that align with the accelerating
demands of digital media.
He added that this cooperation makes
the faculty an important center for knowledge transfer and specialized
training, as the Faculty includes professors with diverse expertise and
experience in the field of media. He noted that the presence of a distinguished
faculty member increases the interest of national institutions in attracting
these professors to participate in training courses and workshops.
He emphasized that the faculty's
role is not limited to providing basic skills only, but also focuses on
developing advanced skills in the use of modern technologies in the field of
digital media. He added that the faculty seeks to establish strategic
partnerships with these institutions to develop new ideas and initiatives that
contribute to raising the level of media in the Kingdom.
