This requires implementing changes and developments within the educational environment.
Educational institutions, particularly universities, play a pivotal role in advancing individuals and societies. Recently, the educational system has faced increasing pressures and challenges due to the modern technological revolution, which has led to shifts in human relationships. This rapid development in modern management has made it imperative to have a form of educational leadership that significantly contributes to the success of the educational process. Without conscious and responsible leadership, educational institutions would struggle to fulfill their educational and developmental objectives effectively.
New trends in educational leadership have emerged, focusing on all areas related to the educational process. Leadership now involves not only administrative skills but also managing human relationships, creating conducive work environments, organizing team efforts, and making impactful decisions. This is especially important in an era characterized by a knowledge explosion and the growing influence of information and knowledge in driving the educational process.
Based on this need, the Educational Leadership specialization was established at Zarqa University to respond to urgent societal demands, particularly in the Zarqa Governorate. As national universities are expected to address the needs of their surrounding environments, the introduction of this specialization is a significant step toward community development through the preparation of qualified professionals, local training, and the provision of administrative services.
