Vision:
Striving to achieve the highest standards of quality and academic accreditation in education, qualification and scientific research, responding to developments and the needs of society, and highlighting Islamic jurisprudence in a way that combines originality and modernity, and preserving the foundations of the religion and the purposes of Sharia.
Mission:
The Department of Foundations of Religion seeks to create scientific outputs in accordance with comprehensive quality standards in the fields of education and research, and to qualify distinguished specialists belief, exegesis, hadith and advocacy, belonging to the original, interacting with the modern time, to enable them to play an effective role in community service in the theoretical and practical legal fields that reflect the true image of Islam.
Objectives:
- Graduate students who are able to consider issues of jurisprudence and its foundation, and their application in a manner consistent with the general purposes of Islamic legislation.
- Contributing to spreading religious awareness among members of society, and spreading the spirit of adherence to the provisions of Islamic law.
- Active participation in scientific research, conferences, seminars and various studies, especially in areas and issues that are characterized by modernization and development; In order to form a correct juristic opinion about it that does not contradict the general purposes of legislation and achieves both the interest of society and the individual.
- Clarifying the bright image of the foundations of religion, and the formation of an objective scientific mentality, characterized by moderation and centrism.
- Paying attention to foundations of religion, especially in the areas of rooting and deduction.
- Forming students 'jurisprudential critical faculty and developing the skills of reading and perception, and the ability of deduction, reasoning and producing scientific research.
- The formation of the Islamic personality belonging to its religion, homeland and nation, and distinguished in its deep understanding of Islam that is characterized by moderation and centrism, combining originality and modernity, comprehending the objectives of Islamic law.
- Preparing and presenting specialized scientific competencies that meet the needs of the local and international contemporary Islamic community in the fields of teaching exegesis, the imamate, rhetoric and advocacy, and achieving scientific heritage.
- Upgrading the curricula and methods of teaching in the department, to suit the requirements and developments of the times.
