The Department of Physical Education was established at the College of Educational Sciences in 2024. It is one of the leading and recently introduced departments at the university. Students enrolled in this department earn a Bachelor's degree in Physical Education. Admission is open to students who have successfully passed the General Secondary Examination or its equivalent in the following streams: Scientific, Literary, Industrial, Sharia, Agricultural, Hospitality and Tourism, and Home Economics. Additionally, students holding a diploma from intermediate university colleges in a discipline equivalent to the Physical Education program are also eligible for admission.

The department is staffed by a distinguished faculty comprising highly qualified PhD holders specializing in various fields of sports sciences.
