About the Program
Physical therapy department is one of the scientific departments in the College of Allied Medical Sciences at Zarqa University. The department offers a physical therapy program with theoretical and practical educational courses and clinical training to provide students with Knowledge, practical skills, and rational values that qualify them to work as physical therapists with an effective role in the medical team.
The program consists of 136 credit hours covering all aspects of physical therapy and rehabilitation. The program includes courses covering the basic sciences of physical therapy for orthopedic, neurological, pediatrics, internal diseases, cardiopulmonary and vascular systems, intensive care, surgery, burns, and women’s health.
The program is concerned with providing field clinical training for students in physical therapy departments in many hospitals according to a timetable that ensures that students gain practical experience in parallel with educational experiences. Upon completion of the study, the student will be able to conduct physical therapy evaluation, develop and implement the appropriate treatment plan for the patient.
