18 students from the
Faculty of Information Technology at Zarqa University participated in the
national competition for programming Jcpc acm2018, held at the University of
This competition targets
university students who compete in teams representing their universities. Each
team consists of three students. These teams are distinguished by their
scientific level and ability to analyze issues and design algorithms and solve
them as quickly as possible. The competition tests the analytical and
programming skills of contestants and challenges them to invest time
The teams of the
university competed with the various Jordanian universities, governmental and
private, with about 138 teams. Our students (Ammar Al Sherif, Abdul Rahman
Yaghmour and Qais Al Khatib under the supervision of Dr. Mohammad Rasmi)
managed to qualify for the Arab competition in Sharm El Sheikh.
The ACM is one of the
most important programming competitions in the world and is held annually under
the auspices of the ACM.
The competition consists
of three different levels: local, Arab and international level. The competition
provides the winners with opportunities to work in the largest companies
specialized in information technology.
