The 4th academic day of
Engineering Faculty was opened Sunday by Zarqa University President Dr. Mahmud
Alwadi. This Day theme was "The systems and environmental impact of modern
energy 'and was attended by deans of faculties , many staff members and
students.
Dr. Alwadi praised the theme and stressed the importance of applied
and practical research which aim at solving energy problems. The event should
highlight the best utilization of modern energy and including renewable energy
and how companies can improve their products by making use of academic research
which in turn may help in drawing policies and strategies to promote
industries, he added. In his speech, Dr. T. Alghanim stressed the importance of
energy research in improving quality of life and the development of the green
energy that preserves the environment .The Day included many sessions in which
the following topics were discussed: the concept of renewable energy ,
sustainability approaches to architecture ,cloud impact on energy generation
,conceptual design of green buildings in civil engineering, energy generation
by solid debris and biological energy.
An exhibition was also opened after the
conclusion of the session. On display were products and projects of many
corporations such as Assma Azarqa for Renewable Energy, Parallel Technology,
Mideast Technology, Engineers Union, Almitahliya of Green Buildings and
Hydrolic New Systems.
